Benefits of plants in the home or office

One of the main reasons why indoor plants are so popular is because they are known to possess many benefits. Plants inside our houses are known to reduce stress levels and also improve productivity. This is why so many offices are now adding inside plants. Who doesn’t want to reduce stress, both at home and at work? Clean air is another benefit of indoor plants as they help filter out the bad gasses and increase oxygen levels. People also find indoor plants boost creativity and can assist in noise reduction.

They visually look great

These are all great, but the obvious benefit of having indoor plants is visual. They look great, and at Aumann’s we have a wide range of indoor varieties for you to select. Some of our range includes Aloe Vera, which is very popular amongst people in herbal medicine.

Bromeliads – Bromeliaceae is visually a standout and looks great in any house due to its colour contrast of lush green and pink. While most inside plants come in a variety of green shades, Calatheas has some colour to it, making it a popular inside plant. String Of Pearls -Senecio Rowleyanus is also a popular indoor plant because it simply looks fascinating.

Some more traditional indoor varieties that are more subtle are Alocasia and my personal favourite Peace lily – Spathiphyllum. I also have to mention Orchids – Orchidaceae. This plant works well in any surrounding, from a contemporary setting to a house with old-world charm. Orchids can really add to an indoor environment and yet are subtle, this is one I would recommend.
